💜 A Space to Exhale Again
Soft Like Us is a wellness event created exclusively for Black LGBTQ+ people — a gentle space to rest, reflect, and reconnect with yourself and your community.
Come through, slow down, and share a moment of collective care with people who might just get it.
This is your invitation to pause, to feel, to reconnect —
to explore what rest and care can be when they’re shaped with us at the centre.
Because softness is ours too. 🌿
Created by Black Queers Connect | Supported by NYX Professional Makeup

🕒Event ScheduleUse this to plan your day — join as much or as little as you like.
Info: A grounded, honest conversation about therapy — the barriers, the wins, and how to find support that actually understands Black queer life. Come to learn, listen or just sit in community.
Info: An open, honest interactive talk about being Black, queer and neurodivergent — exploring experiences, look at what support exists, and talk about how to access it.
Info: A relaxed talk on how creativity supports our wellbeing — the expression, the release, the “this kept me going” moments. A cosy space to hear from Black queer creatives and share what art means to you.
Info: A chill, beginner-friendly boxing taster where you can learn the basics, get your body moving and release some stress. If you’re up for a little sweat and a healthy energy release, this one’s for you.
Info: Think crash-out, but make it contained.
Ever feel like you just need to SCREAM? This session gives you the space to do exactly that — safely, intentionally and with full permission to release.
Led by the amazing Yaa Sankofa, we’ll explore sound, breath and expression, ending with grounding to bring you back into the space.
Note: If you know deep release work can feel triggering or hard to contain for you, we recommend choosing another activity that feels more grounding and supportive for you on the day.
Info: A vibesy twerking & whining workshop where you can shake off stress, feel cute and move freely. It’s fun, light-hearted and all about release through rhythm. Come dance, laugh and enjoy yourself — zero pressure, just good energy.
Info: A calm, creative workshop where you can make your own mini-zine — reflect, express yourself, and connect through art.
Info: A gentle end to the day — music, community energy and space to unwind, connect and celebrate softness together.
